There is no best way to invest in real estate — only the best way for the person you actually are, right now. REIL exists to help you find that, honestly and without the usual sales pitch.

The short version

REIL's mission is simple: help you find, and grow into, the real estate path that fits your real life — your money, your time, your temperament, and the season you're in. And then help it change as your life does.

How this started

For years, real estate was her side hustle. She dabbled in long-term rentals, flipped a house, ran short-term and mid-term rentals, and tried corporate housing — always alongside a day job, never the main thing.

Then life changed fast. She had a child with special needs, and later became a solo parent. A traditional corporate job was no longer possible. Real estate stopped being a side project and became the plan — but only if she could choose a strategy that actually fit her new, ever-evolving situation.

She got her own start in real estate with the help of a few generous mentors. That was a gift. But it also meant she learned their strategies — the ones that fit their lives, not necessarily hers. As her own situation kept shifting, those borrowed playbooks stopped fitting.

So she went looking. She spent a lot of money on guru programs and courses, each one certain it had the answer. Slowly, an uncomfortable truth surfaced: the question was never which program to squeeze herself into. It was which approach actually fit her.

And that fit isn't something you work out in your head. It reveals itself through doing. Trying anything beats waiting for certainty — and the more you do, the more you learn about yourself. What fits keeps shifting as your life shifts, and that's not failure. That's the whole point.

The real skill underneath all of it is knowing yourself, and being able to have an honest conversation with yourself before you leap into anything new. It's honed over a lifetime, and it's worth doing before any new endeavor.

Enough people asked her the same thing — “how do you get started in real estate?” — that she noticed a pattern: her answer always began with a question back. What's your situation? Because the honest answer changed with every single person.

REIL is that instinct, turned into something anyone can use. She's still on her own journey. She just thinks more people deserve to be on one too — and hopes to save them a little money and a lot of headache along the way.
